Christian James was born and raised in Canton, Georgia.
At age 20, he started acting and studied with respected teachers Michael Woolsen, June Barfield, and Jeffery Marcus.
He was first seen in his guest-starring role on “Nashville” and after he quickly crossed over into films in leading roles. He starred in CBS Films “Hellfest” as well as “Legal Action” and his most recent film “Cerebrum”. He will be next seen as a new key recurring role on CW’s number one rated show “All American” for its fourth season.
He has been married to a woman named Mercedes for more than a year. She doesn’t appear to work in the entertainment industry.

James’ father Bill James and mother Shelia James met while students at the University of Tennessee at Martin after Bill had started his college career playing football at Tennessee Tech. The couple moved to the Memphis suburbs to raise James’ sister Alexandra and, later, son Christian.
