Brian Reich was a seasoned comedy writer best known for his work on Late Night With Conan O’Brien.
Reich who developed characters such as Masturbating Bear and Pimpbot 5000, died on September 12 in Los Angeles. He was 53.
Reich, who was born on April 5, 1969, was a Harvard Lampoon alumnus. His first job out of college was as a writer on the final season of NBC’s Late Night With David Letterman. When former Saturday Night Live writer Conan O’Brien took over the late-night talk program, he transitioned to Late Night With Conan O’Brien. Reich helped develop the program as one of its primary writers and the creator of numerous distinctive characters throughout his five-year stay.
