Brian Doyle-Murray was born to an Irish-American family on Halloween Day 1945 at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. He is one of nine children born to Irish Catholic parents Lucille who is a mailroom clerk, and Edward Joseph Murray II who is also a lumber salesman. He attended Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga, California in the late 1960s.
Doyle-Murray began acting in the 1970s with The Second Stage comedy stage troupe and also made regular appearances on The National Lampoon Radio Hour Show from 1973 to 1975. He appeared in various films during the 1980s, many with his younger brother, Bill, including Caddyshack, Scrooged, and Ghostbusters II. He also appeared in other well know films during this time, such as Sixteen Candles, National Lampoon’s Vacation, and The Razor’s Edge.

Doyle-Murray is not known to have any children being biological or adoptive. He is a married man who has been married to former assistant director and current veterinarian Christina Stauffer since August 28, 2000. The couple has been together for 22 years now and they leave happily.
Christina Stauffer is well-known for Outbreak (1995), Point Break (1991), and Dante’s Peak (1997). She graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University on May 16, 2008. She is a senior in Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University.
