Skowronek started his undergraduate studies at Northwestern. As he entered his second season, he was a starter, and he finished the year with 45 receptions for 644 yards and five touchdowns.
Skowronek’s junior season saw him haul in 45 passes for 562 yards and two touchdowns. Prior to suffering a season-ending leg injury and opting for a medical redshirt, he caught 12 catches for 141 yards in three games as a senior.
The Los Angeles Rams selected Skowronek in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft, 249th overall. He agreed to a four-year rookie contract with Los Angeles on May 16, 2021.
