Sardar Mir Balakh Sher Mazari, who lived from 8 July 1928 to 4 November 2022, was the supreme sardar and tumandar of the Mazari tribe, which is located in the tristate region of Pakistan’s Balochistan, Sindh, and Punjab provinces.

Balakh Sher Mazari dies: Cause of death revealed
On November 4, 2022, Mazari passed away at the age of 94. The actual cause of his death has not been revealed at the moment.
After President Ghulam Ishaq Khan toppled the Nawaz government, Mazari served as the interim prime minister of Pakistan.
On May 26, 1993, the Supreme Court overturned the president’s order, ending Mazari’s brief term as caretaker prime minister and reinstating Nawaz Sharif.

He had the title of “Mir” as the chief of his tribe, but also went by the styles of “Tumandar” or “Sardar”. Mazari was the seventh Mir and 22nd Sardar of the Mazaris.
Along with Mazari, Sherbaz Khan Mazari also participated in Pakistani politics. His grandson Mir Dost Mohammad Mazari is a Pakistan Peoples Party legislator from NA-175 Rajanpur who previously served as the parliamentary secretary for the Ministry of Water and Power.
