Angela Bassett, who was born on August 16, 1958, in New York City, is a renowned American actress who has starred in a number of blockbuster movies and television shows.
In addition to seven NAACP Image Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Golden Globe Award, and three Black Reel Awards, she has also received recognition. Bassett has been nominated for one Academy Award and seven Primetime Emmys.
