Thomas Tuchel was born in Krumbach, near Bavaria in West Germany, on August 29, 1973. He is 48 years old. As a kid, he joined local club TSV Krumbach, where his father was the coach.
The 48-year-old’s playing career, however, didn’t take him far as he only lined up for FC Augsburg, Stuttgart Kickers and SSV Ulm. It is as a manager, though, that he truly got into his stride.
Tuchel began his managerial career with Augsburg’s youth team and joined Mainz in 2009. His impressive work at the club saw Dortmund table an offer for his services and he joined the Yellow and Black in 2015.
