Brooke Shields Reflects on Memorable Moment Between Daughter and Miley Cyrus on the Set of ‘Hannah Montana’
Brooke Shields recently shared a heartwarming story about a special moment between her daughter, Rowan Francis, and Miley Cyrus on the set of ‘Hannah Montana’ back in 2007. The 58-year-old actress opened up about the adorable encounter during an exclusive chat with PEOPLE at The Chita Rivera Awards in New York City.
Recalling the experience, Shields revealed how her daughter was taken aback when she saw her mother interact with Cyrus on set. “I think I was Miley Cyrus’ mom. I think I was Hannah Montana’s mom, sorry, not Miley, but Hannah!” Shields joked. She then explained that her daughter was a big fan of the show and was a bit confused when she saw her mom calling Cyrus ‘baby girl’ on stage.
The situation created a bit of a stir, but Shields shared that Cyrus quickly reassured Rowan that everything was just pretend. “Miley invited my daughter down to the stage and said, ‘This is just pretend, thank you for letting me borrow your mama,’ ” Shields recounted. It was a sweet gesture that helped calm the confusion and make the moment even more special.
Shields also touched on her concerns about her younger daughter, Grier, potentially pursuing a career in modeling. She admitted to initially fighting the idea but eventually came to terms with it, ensuring that Grier had the necessary support and guidance to navigate the industry safely.
As Grier prepares for college, Shields expressed that she is not quite ready to be an empty nester. She shared her mixed emotions about the upcoming transition and advised Grier to give her a “grace period” as they both adjust to the changes ahead.
This heartwarming story serves as a reminder of the precious moments shared between a mother, her daughters, and the lasting connections made in the entertainment industry.
