Kelly Osbourne, the 39-year-old TV personality, is opening up about her experience with pregnancy and her health journey.
In November 2022, Osbourne welcomed her first child, a son named Sidney, with partner Sid Wilson. Speaking to PEOPLE, Osbourne shared that she was very diligent about her health while preparing for motherhood.
Reflecting on her pregnancy, Osbourne revealed that she didn’t have the typical experience of being able to eat whatever she wanted. “I didn’t get to have the pregnancy where you eat whatever you want. It sucked. I was hungry for nine months,” she shared.
During her pregnancy, Osbourne developed gestational diabetes, leading her to follow a strict “completely sugar-free diet and no carbohydrates” in order to prevent the condition from becoming permanent post-pregnancy. The diagnosis was a cause of concern for Osbourne, who stated, “It really scared me. I didn’t want to deal with any of that.”
Addressing rumors about weight loss methods, Osbourne clarified that she has never taken Ozempic like her mother Sharon Osbourne. She emphasized the importance of following a healthy approach to weight loss and stated, “If you need to lose some weight, who cares how you do it, as long as you’re doing it in a healthy way.”
In addition to her dietary changes, Osbourne mentioned that she took peptides and various vitamins during her weight loss journey. Despite the challenges she faced, Osbourne acknowledged that the experience wasn’t enjoyable. “I was hungry all the time, and that’s how I lost the weight,” she explained.
Osbourne, who recently brought her son Sidney to his dad’s concert for the first time, expressed the importance of raising her child with love, music, and a sense of adventure. “Getting to give my baby the same gift means more to me than I can put into words,” she shared on Instagram.
