Eva Mendes joins Bluey as voiceover for new episode

Eva Mendes has added another feather to her cap by becoming a part of the Bluey Book Reads universe.

The 50-year-old actress recently lent her voice as the lead narrator for the latest Bluey episode titled “Mum School.” The episode, released on the popular animated series’ YouTube channel, features Mendes reading the story while illustrations of the beloved Bluey character and his family are displayed on screen with accompanying text.

In the six-minute episode, Mendes takes viewers on a journey through Bluey’s house, where playful interactions unfold between the characters. The actress breathes life into the narrative, engaging audiences of all ages with her storytelling prowess.

This collaboration marks Mendes’ second foray into the world of Bluey, having previously appeared as a yoga instructor in a 2021 episode. Bluey, a hit children’s animated series, has captured the hearts of Mendes’ daughters, 9-year-old Esmeralda Amada and 7-year-old Amada Lee, whom she shares with partner Ryan Gosling.

Mendes expressed her family’s love for the show, stating, “Bluey is huge in our house. Huge. They love Bluey! They get kind of this crazy energy afterward and they play tricks on us. They really love the frozen statue thing. But they love Bluey and we love Bluey and we watch it a lot.”

In addition to her involvement with Bluey, Mendes is gearing up to release her debut children’s picture book, “Desi, Mami and the Never-Ending Worries,” later this year.
