Meghan Trainor is gearing up for her first tour since becoming a mom, and she received some wise advice from Kelly Clarkson on how to navigate touring with young children.
During an episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” Trainor, who shares sons Riley, 3, and Barry, 9 months, with husband Daryl Sabara, revealed her plans to bring her kids on her upcoming Timeless Tour this fall. Clarkson, who is a mom of two herself, shared some insights based on her own experiences of touring with her kids.
Clarkson emphasized the importance of getting proper sleep when touring with children, warning Trainor about the challenges of balancing parenting duties with a demanding tour schedule. She advised Trainor not to feel guilty about not waking up with the kids every morning and instead prioritize rest, especially since she doesn’t go on stage until later in the day.
Additionally, Clarkson urged Trainor not to try to do everything and to take care of herself while on the road. Trainor, appreciative of the advice, acknowledged that the fall tour is a trial run to see how they manage touring as a family.
Clarkson’s message to Trainor was clear: prioritize self-care, delegate responsibilities, and don’t put too much pressure on yourself to be a “super mom” while on tour.
Trainor, inspired by Clarkson’s wisdom, is ready to embark on her upcoming tour with a refreshed mindset and a focus on enjoying the experience.
