Peggy Murray died from COVID-19 on Monday, April 20, 2020, at Springhouse Estates retirement community in Lower Gwynedd. The family had a virtual funeral on Zoom, and Jenna, now 23, recounted that story. She died at the age of 90 years.

Peggy Murray was born in 1930 in Evanston, Illinois. She grew up in Hershey, Pa., graduated from the business program at Elizabethtown College in 1947, and had extensive experience in retail. She worked at her father’s small store, Poser’s, at Park City Mall in Lancaster, and at her husband’s company, James Crane Plumbing & Heating. She also did charity work and was an altar guild at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Hershey.

Peggy Murray got married to her husband whom she met at Hersheypark in the late 1940s named James Crane. They married in 1948 and had three children. Her husband died in 2003. Peggy Murray is survived by her son James, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
