Barbara Joan “Barbra” Streisand, an American singer, actress, and director, was born on April 24, 1942.
She has had a successful career spanning more than six decades in the entertainment industry and is one of the few artists to have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony (EGOT).

When Streisand was five years old, she started attending the Jewish Orthodox Yeshiva of Brooklyn.
She was regarded as intelligent and curious in everything, but she lacked self-control and frequently answered questions out of turn. She then enrolled in Public School 89 in Brooklyn and started watching television and going to the movies throughout her first few years in school.
Early in the 1960s, Streisand started her career by giving performances in Broadway theatres and nightclubs. The Barbra Streisand Album, which won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1963, was her debut album. It was published after her guest performances on several television shows. She insisted that she maintain complete artistic control while taking less money in exchange.
