Who died in Bachman-Turner Overdrive?

Bachman–Turner Overdrive were a Canadian rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was formed by three individuals – two siblings and a friend. The band’s founders were Randy Bachman, Robbie Bachman and Fred Turner in 1973. Their 1970s catalogue included five top-40 albums and six US top-40 singles.

As of now, one out of the three members is no more. The said band member passed away after entering the new year 2023.  In this article, we will find out who died in the Canadian rock band.

Who died in Bachman-Turner Overdrive?

As previously stated, one of the members of the band has passed away and according to the information gathered, Robbie Bachman is the unfortunate one to be reported dead. He is said to have passed away on January 12, 2023. The sad news was confirmed by his brother and co-founder of Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Randy Bachman. He was semi-retired following BTO’s last live shows in 2004.

Even though his death was confirmed by his brother, the cause of his death has not been disclosed yet.

Robbie was a Canadian drummer and the youngest brother of guitarist, singer and songwriter Randy Bachman. He was the original drummer for both the Brave Belt and Bachman–Turner Overdrive bands. He also was sometimes credited as “Robin” or “Rob” on the liner notes of Brave Belt and BTO albums.

He was born to his parents on February 18, 1953, in Winnipeg, Canada. He was 69 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife Chrissy.
