Wesley Studi, an American actor and producer of Cherokee descent, was born on December 17, 1947. Throughout his career, he has won honours and appreciation from reviewers, particularly for the way he has depicted Native Americans in films.
He has been in both nominated and winning films for Academy Awards, such as Dances with Wolves (1990) and The Last of the Mohicans (1992). (2005). His performance as Sagat in Street Fighter is also well-known (1994).

Studi was born into a Cherokee family in Nofire Hollow, Oklahoma, a small town in Cherokee County with the same name as his mother’s clan.
He is the son of Maggie Studie, a homemaker, and ranch labourer Andy Studie. Before attending primary school, he only spoke Cherokee at home.
He attended the Chilocco Indian Agricultural School and earned a degree in dry cleaning in 1964.
His performance as Sagat in Street Fighter is also highly remembered (1994). He has appeared in numerous movies and television shows, including Hostiles, Heat, Mystery Men, Avatar, A Million Ways to Die in the West, and Penny Dreadful.
