Falco graduated from Northport High School in 1981 and obtained his diploma. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting from the State University of New York at Purchase in 1986.

Since she was four years old, Falco has been raised on Long Island, moving with her family to Hicksville, North Babylon, and eventually West Islip. She appeared in plays at the East Farmingdale Arena Players Repertory Theater as a young child performer, where her mother also appeared.
