Noah Gregory Centineo grew up in Boca Raton, Florida. He is of Italian and German ancestry. Taylor is his older sister. For ninth and tenth grades, he attended BAK Middle School of the Arts and then Boca Raton Community High School, where he played soccer. He moved to Los Angeles in 2012 and attended Agoura High School.

Centineo played the lead in the 2009 family film The Gold Retrievers. He appeared in the Disney Channel sitcoms Austin & Ally and Shake It Up in minor roles.
In the Disney Channel Original Movie How to Build a Better Boy, he played Jaden Stark (2014). He was cast as Ben Eastman in the Disney Channel comedy pilot Growing Up and Down the same year, but it was not picked up for series.

In the coming-of-age romantic comedy SPF-18, he played surfer/artist Johnny Sanders Jr. He also played Camila Cabello’s love interest in the music video for her single “Havana” that year.
