Charlie Talbert was born Charles McClellan Talbert in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and was discovered by director Patrick Read Johnson while telling jokes to the staff in a Wendy’s late one night.
This led to him getting the lead role in the 1995 Turner Classic movie “Angus.” Charlie relaunched his acting career in early 2015 after a six-year break, appearing in movies like “I Saw The Light,” “Hap and Leonard,” “Camera Obscura,” and the Oscar-winning “The Big Short.”
After a six-year break from acting, Talbert resumed his career in comedy in 2009, working at The Groundlings in Los Angeles and doing stand-up at the Comedy Store on Sunset Boulevard.
After trying his hand at The Groundlings in Los Angeles, The World Famous Comedy Store on Sunset Boulevard, or the HaHa Cafe Comedy Club on Lankershim Boulevard, Charlie returned to the big screen to achieve a successful outcome.
