American actor and academic Joseph Chrest was born on September 15, 1965.
He has been in several films and television shows, including 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street, Oldboy, Lee Daniels’ The Butler, The Perfect Date, and many others, in addition to his role as Ted Wheeler in Stranger Things.
Chrest grew up, went to high school, and was born in St. Albans, West Virginia. Additionally, Chrest works as an adjunct professor in the theatre department at Louisiana State University’s College of Music & Dramatic Arts. In 1992, he became a founding member of the LSU Swine Palace.
