Where did John Kavanagh go to high school?

All we know about Kavanagh’s education is that he was a student at the Brendan Smyth Academy when he was 19 years old, and he later received his training at the Abbey Theatre. Kavanagh began working for the company in 1967 and stayed there for ten years before moving into freelancing.

For his portrayal in a revival of Juno and the Paycock in 1989, he was nominated for a Drama Desk Award among other accolades.
