Mickey Kuhn dies: Cause of death revealed

Mickey Kuhn, a popular young performer in the 1930s and 1940s who portrayed Beau Wilkes, the character’s father in Gone With the Wind and the son of Olivia de Havilland and Leslie Howard, has passed away. He was 90.

According to his wife Barbara, Kuhn passed away on Sunday at a hospice facility in Naples, Florida. She said that up until lately, he was in wonderful health.

Additionally, Kuhn played the youthful version of Kirk Douglas and Montgomery Clift in The Strange Love of Martha Ivers (1946) and John Wayne’s Red River (1948), respectively, as well as the ward of a well-known movie officer in Dick Tracy (1945).

In a 2014 interview with The Washington Post, Kuhn described how he kept messing up a sequence with Clark Gable when he was 6 and working on Gone With the Wind (1939). “Hello, Uncle Rhett,” was the phrase he delivered. I often greeted Uncle Clark, He needed several attempts to perfect it.
