Jennifer Lynn Affleck is a famous American singer, actress, and dancer. In 1991, she began appearing as a Fly Girl dancer on the sketch comedy television series In Living Color, where she remained a regular until she decided to pursue an acting career in 1993.
Why did Jennifer Lopez change her name to Jennifer Affleck?
According to reports, Lopez says she changed her legal name to Affleck because it’s more romantic that way. Not because she’s antifeminist or whatever. “People are still going to call me Jennifer Lopez,” she pointed out. “But my legal name will be Mrs Affleck because we’re joined together. We’re husband and wife. I’m proud of that. I don’t think that’s a problem.” She was surprised to learn that The New York Times had published an op-ed about the politics of her taking Affleck’s last name in such trying feminist times.
Lopez and Affleck are now together for the second time. The couple had dated between 2001 and 2004, and Affleck proposed in November 2002 with a custom-made pink diamond solitaire engagement ring.
They planned to wed in September 2003 but postponed and then cancelled the wedding only to announce they were no longer together in January 2004. They started dating again in 2021 after her split from Rodriguez. On April 8, 2022, Affleck proposed again to Lopez, and this time, he did it with a green engagement ring.
