Robert Axelrod was an American actor who died on September 7, 2019. He was well-known for his voice work, which featured Digimon, and began voice acting for English-language anime versions in 1980.
He also provided the voice of Lord Zedd, the main antagonist of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, as well as Finster, the original Power Rangers monster creator.

Axelrod did not father any children before he died. The only family member who survived him was his sister. Later in his career, he joined the casts of West End stage musicals, co-starring with Tim Daly and Eric Idle in several productions.
Axelrod began acting in commercials and theater as a child before becoming a full-time musician in the 1970s. Axelrod began his career as a voice actor in 1980 with Banner the Squirrel. He has stated that he has always wanted to be an entertainer since he was in kindergarten.
