Thuy Trang parents: Meet Ky Trang, Be Trang
Thuy Trang was conceived by Ky Trang (the father) and Be Trang (the mother). In charge of defending Saigon from the communist North Vietnamese army was her father, an officer in the South Vietnamese army (ARVN). After Saigon fell in 1975, he was forced to leave the country and finally came to the US.
Thuy Trang performed several of her own stunts and suffered numerous injuries while working. Trang, along with fellow cast members Austin St. John and Walter Emanuel Jones, left Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in the middle of the second season due to contractual and financial problems.
