The Baltimore Ravens selected him in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft after he played college football for UCF. He has previously played for the Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, and Washington Redskins.

He collected 27 receptions for 512 yards and six touchdowns as a junior. In just four games as a senior, he recorded 13 receptions for 301 yards and three touchdowns.
During his senior year, Perriman was perhaps the best receiver in DeKalb County. He played in the 2010 DeKalb County Coaches Association Senior All-Star Football Game and won MVP honours at the Elite One Performance Football Camp.
After playing for Martin Luther King High School in Lithonia and Heritage High School in Conyers, Perriman ended his high school career for the brand-new Class 5A Arabia Mountain in Lithonia.
