Zack redshirted in 2009, but in 2010 he started at left tackle for the Irish. He participated in each of the Irish’s 13 games in 2010 and was one of 11 players to start every game.
He played left offensive tackle in all 13 of his games as a junior in 2011, helping his team allow just 17 sacks overall. He contributed to Notre Dame’s strongest rushing attack since 1996, which had a 4.8 yard average per carry. He was one of the Irish’s four squad captains in 2012.
