After summer practice, Elliott was selected as the first-team kicker. Elliott made 16 out of 18 field goals in his 2013 campaign.
He led the Tigers in scoring in his first season with 72 points (24 of 24 extra points and 16 of 18 field goals).
With his 56-yard field goal against USF, he broke Stephen Gostkowski’s 2005 mark of 53 yards and established a new Memphis record.
He was selected as one of three players to receive the Lou Groza Award’s “Stars of the Week” honour, as well as the American Athletic Conference’s Special Teams Player of the Week.
