In the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected him from Maryland’s collegiate football programme.
Additionally, he spent one season each with the Baltimore Ravens, Las Vegas Raiders, and Minnesota Vikings.
Ngakoue participated in all 13 games as a true freshman at Maryland in 2013 and finished with nine tackles, two sacks, and an interception.
He started each of the 12 games he played in as a sophomore in 2014, compiling 37 tackles and six sacks. Ngakoue set a school record in 2015 as a junior with 13.5 sacks. He declared following the campaign that he would forgo his senior year and declare for the 2016 NFL Draft.
