Darren Henley, better known by his stage name D. H. Peligro, was an American punk rock musician, most commonly known as the drummer for The Dead Kennedys along with a brief stint as the drummer for Red Hot Chili Peppers.
D.H. Peligro dies: Cause of death revealed
“Dead Kennedys’ drummer D.H. Peligro (Darren Henley) passed away in his Los Angeles home yesterday, October 28th. Police on the scene stated that he died from trauma to the head caused by an accidental fall.
D. H. Peligro whose real name was Darren Henley was born on July 9, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. He joined The Dead Kennedys in 1981, replacing the original drummer, Ted.
D. H. Peligro made his recorded debut with the group on the EP In God We Trust, Inc. which was released in 1981. Peligro would go on to record the studio albums Frankenchrist, Plastic Surgery Disasters, and Bedtime for Democracy, and singles/rarities collection, Give Me Convenience or Give Me Death.
