American football quarterback Joseph Lee Burrow, who plays for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League, was born on December 10, 1996. (NFL).

Burrow bounced back from an injury-shortened rookie season by leading the Bengals to their first playoff victory since 1990 in his second season, snapping the longest active winless streak in the four major North American sports, and making a quarterback appearance in Super Bowl LVI. He is tied with Boomer Esiason for the most postseason victories and holds the Bengals franchise marks for passer rating, completion %, and single-game throwing yards.

During his time at Athens High School in The Plains, Ohio (2011–2014), Burrow helped the school win its first seven postseason games and make three straight berths in the playoffs. He ran for 2,067 yards and scored 27 rushing touchdowns during his career while also passing for 11,416 yards and 157 passing touchdowns.

As a senior in 2014, he received the Gatorade Player of the Year honour and the Mr Football Award for the state. He had a 14-1 record that year with his Bulldog colleagues. In his senior year, he was a first-team all-state point guard for basketball, another sport in which he excelled.
