Insider has confirmed that Dan Wieden, who is best known for creating Nike’s famous “Just Do It” slogan, passed unexpectedly at the age of 77 while his wife was by his side.
In 1982, Wieden and his late business partner David Kennedy co-founded the Portland-based advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy. They developed a number of effective campaigns for brands like McDonald’s and Bud Light, but they are best recognized as the designers of Nike’s “Just Do It” slogan.
Wieden went away on Friday, September 30, 2022, according to confirmation.
