On April 26, 1994, in Rahway, New Jersey, Dion Dawkins was born. He received the moniker “the Shnowman” as a student at Rahway High School.

He initially signed with the Cincinnati Bearcats, but in January 2013 he switched to Temple University. From 2013 to 2016, he was a member of the Temple Owls, where he started 41 of his 44 collegiate games.

He was chosen for the First Team All-American Athletic Conference following his senior year. Later, he was given a Senior Bowl invitation and started at guard for the North team.

He was chosen by the Buffalo Bills in the second round (63rd overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft. Buffalo Bills signed Dawkins to a $4.18 million, four-year deal on May 19, 2017.

A guaranteed sum of $1.83 million and a $1.18 million signing bonus was included in the agreement.
