Defensive tackle Cameron Phillip Heyward plays for the National Football League’s Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers selected him in the opening round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
At Ohio State, he played collegiate football. Heyward is the pro bowler Craig Heyward’s son.

In his 11-year National Football League (NFL) career, fullback Craig William “Ironhead” Heyward (September 26, 1966 – May 27, 2006) played for the Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons, St. Louis Rams, New Orleans Saints, and Pitt Panthers.
According to Charlotte Heyward, Connor’s mother, “there were probably eight clubs his agency had identified that had Connor on their list and were thinking about perhaps picking Connor.” One of them was the Steelers.
I didn’t anticipate things to turn out that way.
Craig, Jr., Cameron, Corey, and Connor were the names of Heyward’s four sons. In high school, all four participated in athletics.
While his three siblings played for Peachtree Ridge High School in Georgia, Craig Jr. played for his father’s old mater in New Jersey.
