In the Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night, rookie running back Jaylen Warren of the Pittsburgh Steelers only received five touches, but he was productive with them.
In the (29-17) loss, the 23-year-old Warren ran for 30 yards on four carries and caught his only pass for a three-yard gain. The five-foot-eight, 215-pounder makes up for his lack of size with strength and speed.
Although he only participated in 12 offensive plays, he appeared nimble and strong while holding the ball in place of starter Najee Harris.
As long as Harris is healthy, he would surely start from the bench however, gradually he would become a plug-and-play alternative if Harris were to miss any time this season.
