Hesham Selim, a well-known Egyptian actor, died on Thursday at the age of 62 following a battle with cancer.
After Asr prayers, the funeral will be held in the Sheikh Zayed Police Mosque.

Selim, born on January 27, 1960, is the son of football icon and former Al-Ahly sporting club president Saleh Selim.
After graduating from the High Institute of Tourism and Hotels in 1981, he attended the Collège de la Sainte Famille (Jésuites) and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
In 1972, he made his acting debut in “Embratoreyyet Meem,” and in 1976, he won his first starring part in Youssef Chahine’s “‘Awdat al-ebn al-daal.”
He has also been in a number of critically praised television shows, including “Khiana Mashroaa” (2006), “Leqaa ala el-hawa” (2004), “Hoanem Garden City” (1997), “Arabesque” (1994), “Layaly Al-Helmiya S2′′ (1989), and “El Raya El Beeda” (1988).
